Windup Films is a premium documentary production company, telling ambitious, character-driven stories from the worlds of culture, sport, music, and society, with a focus on the places where they collide.

 

Founded in 2026 by Martin Pupp and Ben Addelman, between us we’ve made series and specials for just about every major streamer and broadcaster, from AppleTV to Vice, won multiple awards, had films screened at Sundance, SXSW and festivals worldwide, and made shorts for the likes of Rolex, Toyota and Asics.

We are currently in pre-production on Pelé: The King of New York.  The incredible story of this global icon taking over America.  Soccer, music and celebrity, 80,000 people filling stadiums in a city on the verge of bankruptcy, and the seeds of a sporting revolution are planted.    

Pelé: The King of New York is being produced in partnership with Pelé Brand.
